There exists a fencepost error in the credit withdrawal/transfer-from code in both the Bank and treasury.

To see it, have 999,999,999 credits and then attempt to withdraw 1 more. It gives you the "you cannot have more than 1,000,000,000 credits" message, even though selling a ship and trading both allow the collection of 1 more.

(For that matter, trying to sell a ship with a value that would cause excess of 1 billion credits after completing the transaction should warn about it.)

Yes, I know that this is a truly trivial thing to gripe about. I'm just poking at the edges to figure out what the limits actually are.

It should give you the "you cannot have more than 999,999,999 credits" message , and therefore would be fixed ...

You can not carry any more then that as a player.
Your citadel level planets can carry many time that , in their banks.
