I have news for you. v1.03 doesn't have near the issues that v2 has in this area. With v2 it doesn't boot 1 person, but almost everyone in the game, and it locks you out of the game until the game realizes you are no longer in the game which can be quite some time. This is a major bug in v2.
Also, there are several bugs that effect time limit games in v2. Also there is a bug concerning planet movement in v2. Also there is a bug issue in the single node option. Also there is a new stardock bug. Shall I go on?

Thrawn has been playing on my server for some time now, testing the latest pre-wide release Beta. He can tell you what works and what does not.

I can openly say that this is incorrect. Thrawn has been on deployments, leaving me to code our site and work on our developments. The only time he spent testing was on a server for John when the version that fixed the mail bug came out. Other than that, most of his testing was done on a server here in our home. I know for a fact he has never been on your server.

If that is the case, then someone is using his alias. Both he and I never played outside of our own server, except for one. We played on D's server because he allowed a husband/wife to play together on his server after we asked permission. He was also kind enough to have a particular edit on his server because we really enjoyed it. We do not play v2 at all for the moment- we still have our project in v1 going.

JP told me Thrawn was on my server testing, I see a player named Thrawn logged into game B. If it's not him, then I was misinformed and I apologize.

I have no idea what you're doing to trigger these bugs. Be a part of the solution or continue to enjoy 1.03. I don't know what else to tell you D.

And when was "he" online testing? The only server outside of ours within the last couple of years he was ever on was when John had a server setup and we were able to login to see changes being made (and that was quite a while back when Singularity was doing some testing and I believe Helix had a test game running). He has never been on your server, neither have I. So you have someone using other people's alias names on your server. Other than our server and D's, we never use our Thrawn/Daala names if we play anywhere.

What are we doing to trigger these bugs? Playing the game the way we play it is all. As far being part of the solution, I was at one time until JP started going off into left field changing the game completely. You say that all the changes are optional. That is entirely incorrect.
Also, the bugs he created while making all these changes will take years to debug, that's IF they ever get debugged. I don't have years to devote into finding and reporting all of these bugs and making v2 into a playable version.

I'm eternally mystified by the level of ignorance displayed by individual's who refuse to acknowledge the requirement set forth by the developer to prove a bug. The same developer who then refuses to fix said issues without the user's doing all the legwork for him because he is "to busy" with RL project's to address it without exact specifics of who, what, when, where and why in a closed development environment.

Last page you stated V2 is fine and hasn't broken scripts, you're wrong. As a builder and hand combat participant I would expect those comments, IF you had not been shown multiple times that you are incorrect in that assumption. Cruncher, and those who side so heavily with you have taken Stubbornness to the next level.

V2 is broken because like V1.X JP left in the middle of development without any indication of return.

PERIOD

-Add in development distractions, like feature additions (Botlink) instead of code refinements (Timing, synch issues) and poof... what's the point of playing if you can't resolve the TW2002 conflict of being the most successful trader in the galaxy?

I'm not going to play V1 (known/exploited bugs) and because I actually like V2 features like the planet list. V2 is to buggy to actually kill people off in a automated enjoyable way(for me).

Forced retirement.

Grow up kid. The man hasn't made a cent out of TW for years, he has just been supporting it (I would think, with a large time investment), because he likes it.

Your right the money (80$) i shelled out for a full server should NOT allow me to expect a working product.

Reported for the personal attack. Your assumption he hasn't made any money in "years" is clearly unfounded as my server is new.

I have no idea what happened to my last post, but I'll try to re-post it.

And what have the his customers gotten out of his time invested? Another broken version. At least v1 is somewhat stable minus a few known bugs. V2 is just unplayable. Maybe I'll say this a little bit louder so they will understand.
FIX V1 AND THE PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVED.

So, you're saying that automated kill scripts no longer work in v2?

Hence the name "Trade Hugs". It isn't Tradewars without the "War" part availble. This version should be perfect for a builder like you.
