This is on the version loaded on my server, one of the 2.08 variations JP put up.

I have inactivity timeout set to 300 seconds, but as you can see it's not kicking me to the menu.

I thought I saw this happening on Ice-9 as well.

Are you running mombot or any other script? Mombot has a keep alive built in that triggers off that message and it will send a character that keeps it from dropping. The message seems to indicate it is working but something else might be interfering. Just a thought.

Yeah, that's a good question. Is this message popping up after 300 seconds of inactivity, or is it appearing more frequently?

Looks like Swath is working fine .. it too will keep you alive.

I was not running Mombot, Swath was on but not the keep alive.

I was not trying to stay active, I walked way, decided to get something to eat and saw this when I came back.

I did NOT intentionally set any player side scripts to keep me active. The game should have booted me to the menu and did not.

And yes JP as far as I can tell, this inactivity warning did come on every 300 seconds (5 min.)

Can you repeat the behavior?

Connect straight telnet to test. Swath has it's own. I will test on mine as well.

I set the timer to 120 seconds. After 60 seconds I got the first warning.

Then a message that kicked me to the game menu. On 2.07 it works like it should. I used telnet, no scripts, no swath, no zoc, no twx.....plain old telnet.

I reset the timer on sandbox and it works fine.

Yeah, I tested on the beta site and it's working fine. But it's consistently not working on your site? Can you bang a fresh game and test there so we can see if it's data related? It might be something to do with the pre-release version you have.

It problably only works with MOMBot off.

Everything has to be off .. telnet only .. Swath has its own keep alive even with everything off .. cause there is no way to turn Swath keep alive off unless Swath is off as well.

I rebanged game A today and that's working fine. The problem showed up in game P. Do you want me to send you that game file?
