I know I'm gonna regret saying some things here but I feel strongly about this.
TWXProxy is NOT open source at the moment.... It is ElderProphet's project as no one but him can get the changes he has made unless HE makes a release. And as he is the sole developer no one else can assist him in bug fixes, features, testing.... so it takes forever and a day to get a new release/alpha/beta.
As I have stated earlier can someone set up some kind of a revision server so people can get the latest version(s) instead of waiting till Elder thinks his code is good enough to let others see it.
There are a lot of advantages to having more than one set of eyes looking over source code.
Not to throw away Elder's excellent work I would like to nomimate him for Project Leader he gets to decide when we make an alpha-beta-release but he has to accept help from the community.
I know a little Delphi from waaaaaay back so I can read the code but just can't quite grasp what Xide was thinking when he chose the path he chose, and adding something becomes very difficult because you will probably break something else.
As for making releases I would volunteer to try and make a script that would check out the latest version, compile it to a binary and mark it as being cutting edge so we can get some feedback as to what works and what doesn't. This should be fairly simple as we are only supporting Windows at the moment. The problem is we need a version server, an ftp server and a compile machine (could be one machine I don't know....
This can also be extended to MomBot or any other open source scripts out there revision control systems can help a lot in development and give the opportunity for more eyes on source code to find the hard to see "features aka bugs".
IMHO if we want to see TWXProxy 2.1 in our lifetime we are gonna have to help Elder.....

SDManson@gmail.comElder I mean no disrespect towards you. You stepped up to the plate and took over, I am upset that the community hasn't offered to assist you.
