Re: TWX Script Editor (TWXIDE) now available from Grimy
LOL, actually I do not want to install .NET framework. Finding it, if I wished, to install would not have been difficult, just another step. As I posted to another user, it seems that we continually bloat our drives and resgistry with applications (.NET framework in this instance) just to be able to install another program.
Pro... if you come from a c/c++ background then C#/Net Framework is so much easier... no more remembering to malloc/free or new/delete, also there are numerous pre-made containers that can hold any data, MUCH MUCH easier than the STL. Only downside is pointers..... gawd I loved the obfuscated code I could write when drunk and then have it work. Only to refactor it when sober so I could understand it, pointer magic had its good points but made for some awful maintenance, when you didn't write it and tried to get in the head of the person that did.
If you come from a Java background then C#/Net Framework is gonna be a little different C# is mostly C/C++ on steroids they kept most of the keywords and syntax intact while adding some java like garbage collection....
As they said in the old Alka-Seltzer commercials Try it, You might like it.

Actually I don't come from a programming background at all except for messing with Pascal a very long time ago, Clipper, and MS Access. Never a professional, just kinda muddle my way through - same as I try and do with TWX.

I like it so far, but I do have a suggestion....
The line number colum should be made wider or adjustable. If you have more than 999 lines you can no longer see the last digit of the line numbers.

Thanks Rafar, I know about that issue, I just haven't been able to figure it out yet, and didn't want to hold up the beta release.
I edited my original post with a screen shot, so if you guys haven't seen the app and are jumping straight to this page, go back and check page 1 to see what it looks like.
