I'm playing solo red in a game that's been going a while, and am having trouble getting a foothold. I've got most of a CK ZTM done, is there a way I can find the class 0 ports from the warp data from that?

Thanks,

With a ZTM you can use a script that checks for sectors with 7 warps in. There will be several of the sectors that you will have to check.

Or, you could copy and paste this, and make your own.

setVar $i 1
while ($i <= SECTORS)
if (SECTOR.WARPINCOUNT[$i] = 7)
echo "*" $i
end
add $i 1
end

Incidentally, the class 0 ports don't necessarily have 7 warps in. The accurate test is for sectors with 6 warps out and at least one 1-way warp in. There may be more than one 1-way warp in, making for possibly 8 warps in. Also, one of the warps out could be a 1-way, making for 6 warps in.

So a 1-way in is an absolute... assuming no mods from the GameOp? Excellent info to know. Time to rewrite that script... :)

Another option if you are using Swath, is to use the Sector Finder tool to query a list of sectors with >= 6 warps and a backdoor.

Something else to keep in mind is a minimum didtance to Terra. I don't know if there is, but I do know you can rule out any sector below 10. So EP you might as well change that setVar to setVar $i 10

Good point Kimsanee. There is no need to check sectors 1-10 or Stardock.
Actually, I did rewrite that script when Kemper posted the corrections, and I've been sitting on it since there is no Scripter's Tavern anymore. However, it is a little longer than the first version [;)] so I won't post it. If we could come up with a replacement for Scripter's Tavern...

So if you guys want good scripts, show some love to Rammar's idea about a scripts page.

EP someone from my server has a site on MSN with an area dedicated to scripts, and has invited anyone to put up scripts there if they wish, he goes by Patriot, and posts by TWPatriot, anyway this is the link to his site in MSN Groups: http://groups.msn.com/Tradewars2002 check it out and if you like it then you can post scripts there. He is trying to get a place where we all can have a centralized place to put scripts up on.

Patriot has setup a Scripts Feedback area on his site for peoples input on the scripts found there when people post the scripts and people download them for use.

Went to his site, and tried to access the scripts area and received a MS "Passport" login box.
