Not sure what they are like now, but, the way they were before was Way too easy.

1 player takes all 3 in a couple minutes.. only has to land once per planet to cap it. too easy.

My preference is that it would take two pods to cap an alien planet and about 300k figs to finish the planet figs. This gives a solo a chance to grab a planet, and the cost wouldn't be too bad. In a SZ edit that would mean that the third ship would be a Hard Line to withstand the atmos and take the shields down followed by a Rum or Boat. This would take some work on the Ops part in doing the calculations to insure that 416k worth of damage isn't exceeded on the 3rd attack - prob should be in the 300k range on the blast damage. I would also turn off the sector cannons - no cheap mothing in and out.

UTW seems to have a decent setup for alien planets. Usually more figs than your 300k though. Closer to 1 mill.

Still.. sector cannons are off.
The atmos blast (even the first) wont kill a Rum.

Usually translates into 500 mill or so to take an alien planet in UTW subzeros ?? I think thats close.

So you can take the planet with no pods at all. Which is fine.. but you should have to work for it a little. Going into game and cashing for 10 mins to take all the alien planets is a little too easy.

I agree with Legion that 1 person (or even a corp of 6) should not be able to have to land just once to cap the planet.

I also think that a solo should also have the chance to have a go at it too.

A solo can make 300-500 mill easy to take a planet.
But if you are up against a corp 6 deep.. which probably means preset corp whos in game to end it quick. Will be hard for solo to last. Maybe planets should be setup according to corp size limit.. but then.. those megas will hurt ya.

Who knows..

Of which is totally useless if it is a solo and it takes more than two pods. The planet will be capped by someone else rather than take the third pod. More solo players out than corps.
