Hello all

Well I was gone for about 3 or so weeks all together and when I got back and checked everything out I see that my TWGS had stoped and I got this erro and even when I try to restart it I get it heres the error

Creating player listener...
Querying server IP addresses...
Autodetecting server IP address...
Error binding player listener (10048)
Closing player listener...
Cleaning up...

why would it do that all of a sudden and how can I fix it

Have you checked your IP to see if your ISP issued you a new IP? Either that or have you tried removing all server information setup saving it, closing it down, warm-booting, and then reentering it all again. I call that the “Wash, Scrub, and Wrangle Method” or the (Chow Hopper for short), and it works almost every time! hehehe.

Sounds like a port error to me. Possibly some other program is using the port number you have assigned to twgs. The default port for twgs is 23. You may try changing the port.

I will have to give that a try I have a static IP address so my address will not change to I will try to reset it thanks

I have changed the prot # to 2002 and I haven't changed it but I will check into that tho thanks

It is a port error. We had the same problem on the server a while back. As it has been pointed out, make certain you are not using a port that another app is using. We found by rebooting cleared the error as well. Also be careful as to the number of "apps" running using ports (for example instances of twxproxy, etc). Too many apps running on the machine requiring ports (or sockets) can also cause the TWGS to get this error.
