Does anyone know how to turn off Swath Logging. Can't find a toggel setting anywhere.. and sometimes I find files in the Swath game files folder that are a few hundred kilobytes and others in excess of 30MB.

Thanks

Isn't it under edit, preferences, miscellaneous, and uncheck Log Backup Directory?

No it's not. I've never found a way to shut it off and it kindof drives me nuts. The log isn't even that useful, it's all ansi coded. You have to run a parser on it just to make heads or tails of it.

I have a 400mb swath log from one of runaway's SZ bangs, it's nothing but 3 days of gridding, invading a few alien planets and decashing my corpies. I'll delete it if I ever need the space, it just sits in C:\ doing nothing.

I'm not sure if this works with the current version or not, but in 1.6 if you check the Clear Windows on Connect option it will reset the log file everytime you reconnect to a game. Of course this requires that you log out of the game once in a while.

wow thanks Mantis... worked like a charm. I'm using swath 1.8.2 ...since I proxy through twx.. a simple disconnect from twx-proxy, and reconnect; wipes out the log file.
