Hey Rexx jfyi

its "have you ground your axe lately"
or
"did you grind your axe recently"
but
"have you grind your axe lately"
well it just sounds wrong somehow : )

Yes it sounds wrong but when considering that “grind” is both an industry term and slang term i.e. I use my skateboard to grind, not I use my skateboard to ground. Ground would not be the correct way to say it either as that would impose that I have used my axe to make a connection with the dirt, bottom of the ocean, or ground; hence I have actually dulled my axe rather then sharpened it. So the use of grind would lend exception unto itself.

Well you would not say "I grind my skateboard yesterday" but you're right, "I ground my skateboard" also does not sound right, more like "I was grinding that pipe yesterday on my skateboard." Either way you look at it, "Have you grind you're axe lately" is wrong in two ways. The use of "grind" and "you're", "you're" being "you are." Have you grind you are axe lately. That is nowhere close to correct no matter how you try to spin it.

You are totally correct about the usage of the English language Hiro!
Thank you for adding the additional ways those words can be used!
