Well crap... it's happening now in game C - Sandbox game. This happens consistantly after running a trading script.

I logged into the sandbox game C and it is working for me, you have to be using something else that is causing it to not work correctly for you.
Straight Telnet the timeout works perfect.

If you have TWX running and this is happening press $st and see if there is a trigger that is activating to keep the connection alive

Cruncher , are you running Swath ?
If the answer is YES .. there you go ..

turn everything off and try Telnet only and see the changes ..

OK.. never mind... sorry guys, if I don't see a setting I don't know what's running in the background.

You definitely have a helper doing that... took me a while to figure it out too. If it happens to be swath, you can turn off Helper Mode (edit->helper mode), which I think will turn off the auto-keepalive. It's probably not TWXProxy because that one's a lot more obvious about it.

Documentation for both is really poor... hence you get circumstances like the one we see here. :/ oh well.

nope , that will only turn off the light bulb .. if you have auto transwarp .. it will be off.
but the keep alive is always on for swath ..

Why worry about it .. or if you want to fall offline .. just use telnet and type all your commands.

Most everything it seems is geared towards high turn or unlimited turn/time games.

Even if the helper does not time out, my computer times out and cuts off the internet, so that solves that delema.

Some times R/L interferes with gaming, but we want to try to limit the time wasted in low turn/time limit games.
