I'm currently working on a game edit in which I have edited ships, passive aliens, hostile aliens, all based on a theme of a show on the SiFi channel called "Serenity Firefly".

I've posted a poll in regards to my question.

Love Firefly ;)

I think there are many settings that should be shown either way, because they impact how the game will play and a player shouldn't be surprised by them. But I also think it's reasonable to hide some details about aliens, ships and planets, so there's a sense of discovery. Just recognize the difference between gameplay rules (should be known) and customization (can be a mystery to be explored).

I've included a link to the open notes for the edit that I'm going to release.

Any thoughts, critiques, and opinions are appreciated.

Looks very nice! You've put a lot of work into this theme'd game.

Personally I prefer to NOT know all the details, for me that's part of the fun of the game. Most players today know stock inside out and backwards, so discovering what's different and how to best implement is the strategy behind this game that keeps it fresh.

New edits like your's keep the game fresh as well.

New blood is very much welcome and appreciated! Good Job!
