Anyone know why I am getting this message?

Waiting for game to terminate...

I am playing in a game that is running on a BBS system as a door game. I get this message and then I am dropped out of the game back to the menu where you pick your game or check who's online and all that. Then you have to log back on.

Wild guess, so if anyone has a better fix, go for it.

The server (many TWGS servers are run by players, using a home PC) may have issues with whatever ISP it is using. Long story short, some ISPs want a user to pay extra to maintain a STATIC IP (where the IP does not change), while a home use may not elect to pay extra for this, since many others offer it for free.
You may have been in the game when the ISP changed the IP address and confused your computer.

Since it is a BBS door game. It is probably in the external program settings in the BBS itself. That message is generated by the BBS. The sysop probably has a typo or missed something. Sounds like the Trade Wars game is kicking you out do to corrupted TWMAIL.dat and instead of sending you back to the door menu it is kicking back to log-on as if you were never logged on in the first. That happens sometimes in a BBS when the door game crashes. The drop file is deleted and you kicked. I would send a note to the Sysop and let him know. Suggest that he delete the TWMAIL.DAT file and see if that works. Could give you more, but I would need more info.

It doesn't happen all the time. Hasn't been happening any today. Would there be any other things that would cause this to happen?

This problem is happening again. And I noticed a couple more things. One, now it isn't even showing the Ferrengi in the game. Another thing, we don't seem to be getting a daily log now. Another thing, when you try to log out of the game by going to sleep in the citadel, it hangs up. No matter if you press keys or whatever, just hangs there until you are disconnected from the board. I thought the sysop had shut down the Ferrengi so that the assistant sysop's corp wouldn't continue to get Ferrengi messages and fighter reports, hoping this would keep the twmail.dat file from getting too big. But the assistant sysop says the owner didn't shut down the Ferrengi. Anyone ever seen this problem get so bad the Ferrengi stop working in the game, or would he have to have shut down the Ferrengi through the game editor?

Almost sounds like a corrupt mail file. Go in through windows explorer, find your twgs folder and go into games and delete the twmail.dat file.

Thanks Ahab. That was what Bethel said earlier, and I informed him that deleting this file would be the best way to handle this. I appreciate everyone's help.
