In my experience, sysops run games as a labor of love and are extremely unlikely to engage in cheating or even the appearance of cheating. Too many players (mostly new ones) find a situation they can't explain and instantly assume that because the sysop COULD have done it, the sysop MUST have done it. This wild specualtion serves no useful purpose. In addition to being, almost always, without merit, it frequently enrages the local community of regular players and causes you to be put on the "See and Kill" list. Please take the time to really think about what happened, find a couple of experienced players to help you understand what happened and only then, after careful deliberation, accuse a sysop of cheating.

Sysops have real lives too, and sometimes can't respond to something for a couple of days. Most respond to critical situations in a hurry and some will even try and help diagnose connection issues for almost an hour with you (Thanks, Jerry).

Sysops deserve our respect and thanks. Not blind and frequently baseless accusations. They are performing a service to the community for which there is no financial compensation, and frequently no words of thanks.
