Auto Warping to sector 4818
Sector : 4818 in The Federation (unexplored).
Beacon : FedSpace, FedLaw Enforced
Ports : Stargate Alpha I, Class 9 (Special) (StarDock)
Traders : Corporal Animal, w/ 89 ftrs,
in The Merchant Marines (Dzerhinsky Merchant Freighter)
Warps to Sector(s) : (939) - (6405) - 7159 - (7483) - (7488) - (9136)
Arriving sector :4818 Autopilot disengaging.
Killer Cow warps out of the sector.
-----------
Killer Cow wasn't in the sector when I arrived, didn't enter the game, and didn't blast off from Stardock. Ther was about a three second delay from the point I entered the game until Killer Cow warped out. The player was in a Corporate Flagship with a ship delay of "quarter". How did Killer Cow show up out of nowhere? The only thing I can think of is that the sysop tedited the ship location to Stardock. Is there another explanation?

hmm...ever heard of a cloaking device?
Do you remember Killer Cow being online when you were playing? If he wasn't, he could have been cloaked at stardock, and got online right when you showed up, then left stardock I'm soo smart, haha, w00t!

If that were the case, there would have been an "enters the game" message. It could be a sysop editing. It could also be a corpie on SD buys the ship, cow xporting into it, then warping out. Also, there are some weird bugs with twgs where messages are missed.

Yes there is a MESSAGE BUG, very deadly one at that.
be sure to test messages by having a corpie hit some personal figs.
This occurs when you toggle "silence all messages" a few times.

Cow had no corpies in the game, and there were no empty ships at Stardock at the time. All I can guess is that either the sysop edited it or it was some bug where the message didn't show up or he'd just left and the warped out message showed after I arrived.

My advice to anyone is that if you doubt a sysop's integrity, you shouldn't play on his server. There are several good servers out there where you don't need to worry about sysops doing things like that. I would recommend alienbase, hardcoded, or coastgames as places I have had good experiences playing at.

You answered your question with your last line of the last post too this thread "he'd just left and the warped out message showed after I arrived."
and plz plz take more time considering the possiblities before u inject the unlikeliy possibility that a sysop would cheat. Such a statement made with out full consideration of any and all other possiblities only reduces the credibility of the person makeing the statement.
That is extremely unlikely.

How bout this as an explimation. Killer Cow was on and at Stardock you did a scan he exited Stardock and was moving out to another sector as you were moving in. If someone is in SD you can not see them with a holoscan.

There is one more explaination.
Extern -
Midnight never stated that he was in the game, nor the time of the screen capture.
