 Any Ideas for Custom edited Unlimited Games?

I am just wondering, what are some good ideas for building a custom unlimited game..
i.e types of planets, types of ships, how many aliens, if any.. anything that would make the player happy and stay longer, and also would like to know what players dont like as well
