A couple questions mostly because i'm bored in a game i'm in.

a) If Ferrengal is set to "indestructable" and you manage to land on and invade it, will it ever autoupgrade enough that you could twarp it away? (ie, steal thier homeworld?)

It doesnt autoupgrade .. you need to upgrade it .. it cant be zdy'd .. other than that it's a standard planet .. it can still be collided! ..

b) Do the ferrengi spawn in thier home sector, or in whatever sector ferrengal is in?

They will spawn in their home sector as long as no other fig (non ferrengi fig) is down ..
Figs in sector will regen at 50 figs x age of game .. so a game 100 days old will regen 5k sector figs a day .. lvl 1 ferrengi ship is out at the begenning of the game lvl 2 ferrengi ship is out 60 days into the game and lvl 3 ferrengi ship is out 120 days after game starts .. Usually ferrengi figs are profititable about 30 days into the game to kill with a iss .. scout is about 18 days (I think)

c) Also, will ferrengi ships go into fedspace? I assume the all knowing all seeing Capt. Z would zoom in and blow em up real good, but still?

They will not go into fedspace .. but they will happy sit next to fedspace ..

This is mostly because a friend of mine runs a game that he wants to see become a "long term" game with more role playing. But alas, there are few players who are standing up to my little 4 person (3 active) corp. So we figured for a weekend project we'd steal the ferrengi homeworld.

Taking ferrengal is a fairly easy task :) .. you shouldnt have any trouble ..
