Hi, Im looking for a program that can map space for me by enterning in sectors and all thier relevant info, and then map it out for me. I do not want a ZTM, as I would like to explore the space personaly, (going back to pre ZTM days ;) Would anyone know of a software program that can do as I require?

to make a graphical map of the entire game...even with only 5k sectors....itd be impossible to read......it would have to be 3 dimensional, a 2d map just wouldnt be feesible with all the different warp directions between sectors, your talkin some major processing too....heh...if that is what you mean.

Stop saying don't quote me because noone quotes you. You probly haven't said a thing worth saying! - KMFDM, Dogma

Pen and Paper .. ;) ..
What your asking is kinda over the top for what you need .. TWXProxy and ATTAC both store data as you enter the sector (?same for swath?)so you can easilly view the sector data (as last seen) at any point in the game ..

I personally use swath and have never used anything else. Swath will store all the sector data Warps/ports in the data base. you can run a ZTM which will map all explored and unexplored sectors. It take a LONG while to ZTM a 20k universe. I think as far as the helper choices I had, I picked Swath cause it's very easy to use. The UDS script API is a bit tough unless you're familiar with JAVA or coding structure in general. I know there are people who use swath and combo that with other helpers. Check them all out and see which suits your needs best.

I use Swath in conjunction with TWXProxy, This works well because of the e-probe scripts available! I dont know about going to a sector personally, but it sounds like a waste of turns! The script will launch(and when completed) buy new e-probes. With a few mil u can probe an entire universe(20k). But of course those annoying fig clouds can be a hastle.
Anyways, with this scripts, once your prbe enters a sector, u can call up the sector(as if with a holoscan) with TWX! Works well fr me.
