I am sure this is going to be considered a stupid question... but here goes.

I have the TWGS/2002 combination, not the gold yet, and would like too add some ferengi ships to have something to shoot at. I added them through tedit, by modifying unused ferengi ship slots, have them set to attack mode, and even set a destination of my home sector (Bring it on!) yet they dont seem to move from the originally placed sector, nor can I attack them where I placed them.

Am I missing a step?

I don’t think you can do much with aliens without the gold editors, you can perhaps, age the game in the (G editor), set their home sector (H editor) to your Base, set their move chance to be very high (H editor) set alien server as be active while you are offline (H editor), set them to be invincible (H editor) and you could of course create them individually with the Ferrengi editor/Alien editor assigning them all of their values manually.

I was going to get the gold editor anyway. Guess this is as good a time as any.

I'm not sure where Rexx was going with that .. cept maybe to hear himself rattle on.

You will need to upgrade to a Gold to be able to do anything with aliens other then maybe the internal ones.

And I'm sure you will be happy with the Gold features.

May I also suggest once you get the upgrade that you also
D/L some TWA edits to look through and see what more is available to play with.
As in ships and planets .. but if your interested in just aliens ,
may I suggest getting TWA (game edit files to import) from
CoastGames, Vulcans server and BlackSun (Valcan's Server) just to name a few.

That is it Vid you have been voted off of the island, laff. That is what was being to referred to as, the "gold aliens" would not be available to a TWGS that is not yet registered, I just figured that was obvious, thus no real need to point it out.
