I play Trade Wars 2002 on a Worldgroup BBS that uses the old HVS version 2.03 A. Now, I am the *only* person on the whole BBS that plays the game, and the game is over one year old. There used to be another player, but she quit seven months ago when I ransacked her home base and captured all three of her level 5 citadel planets, and blew up the level 6 citadel planet she was parked on (which blew her up sky high too). So, let's see. I have 263k experience, 33k alignment. I have three fully loaded ISSs, each with 50k figs, 2k shields, type 2 transwarp drive, 5 atomic detonators, corbomite level of 1500, 5 cloaking devices, 10 mine disruptors, 125 armid mines, 125 limpet mines, psychic probe, 5 photon torpedoes. I have one fully loaded IC with 100k figs. I have a huge tunnel that's pretty much impenetrable as a tunnel can get unless I want it to be penetrated (with 30k figs in every sector in the tunnel and 250 armid mines), 7 level 6 citadel planets (two Ls, three Hs, one O, one M), each with over 150k figs and max fuel ore, and I have 38 Ferrengi trapped in the sector with Ferrengal (I put 30k figs in each sector around it so they couldn't escape after they regenerated from my blowing one up).
Now the big question is ... what is there left to do? No one else on the BBS is apparently interested in playing (as the one who quit hasn't logged on in three months), and the BBS is too expensive to get new players (it's a minimum of $10 per month telnet access, $12 a month if you want credits as well). At this point, I just enter the game once every other day to make sure I don't get deleted ... I don't see what good a rebang will do if no one else will play.
Your friendly neighborhood Apparition,
Jack
