CIM is for warp data and Port data. TWX stores both of these in its database. Just hit $P? and $D? to see some of the useful built-in queries for TWX.

I tried SupG's ZTM script on a .56 server/game and so far have not been able to get it to tell me anything except "*** Error - No route within 45 warps from..." All avoids are clear. After using his worldSSM script that worked very well, I am guessing that either the game I am in is causing it, or I have a computer setting in the game it doesn't like. When I try a route that it gives the error on, I find it w/o any problem.

Question one: I use SWATH to do a ZTM. It is slow that TWX but I find it easier to use.
Question two: If the game has limited turns I always do a ZTM. If it is unlimited or high turns I explore instead of mapping.

well, its an old post, so rand, you probably gonna get yelled at for draggin up an old post.. i did it once, heh F em though, ima add to it too here is my personal limited take on ZTM:
low turn solo:YES (after turns burned on first day)
unlim turns solo:na, i dont use attack scripts so pointless
low turns w/corp:have someone do it
unlim turns w/corp:if someone gets super bored
as to where to put bases, well ive got my own formulas for that but the most important thing u should do is, after u find a decent place to start, find atleast one or two more so you have somewhere to move to when your cits get lvl4. i suggest moving around every now and again just to throw people off if you know people are lookin for you. if you are secure in your spot, hold it until someone finds it and then move it. then they have to find it all over again while you get twice the time to search for theirs (unless they move too, in which case kill them first, then go for the sector)
my 2 cents a month late

Hi, I'm getting this same error when I run 1_ztm in twx. Is this normal? What am I doing wrong?
I know this seems like a basic question, but I haven't been able to find any good sources for information about ztm.

Well, I found an answer of sorts to my own question in this thread:

Sorry for the bump.

so is there a way to view the supg ztm in a map form like swath. or can you import the supg ztm into swath? is so how?
SupGZTM has option to use interogation or computor mode. If you use Computor mode, Swath captures data too.
No need to export/import that way.

well when i first watched my ztm going i noticed this too, i asked wtf, is this normal? answer, yes. if you look at the file it is writing to, it will tell you exactly what it is doing..

u see how it does an initial pass, then 3 void passes, and ends with a backdoor pass. well im not even going to pretend to know wtf i am talking about, but i assume that it does the avoids as to find the backdoors and to make it more accurate. i have a little understanding of what it is doing and why, i just wont even try to explain it. it would be interesting to get a "dumbed" down version of what its doing from one of them there smart people out there, heh. also just to add, thats a 20k sector game, just under 4 hours. (ive seen it in 3, can it go faster and still be accurate? if it is this fast, am i losing accuracy? how can i slow it down? heh)

Rev told me about the method first. Here is how I explained it to SupG. I think he did it slightly differently from how I explained it because it was easier to code that way. Pass one will plot unknown sectors to unknown sectors until every sector has at least 1 know warp out. Then it will do sector that have just 1 known warp out. It will avoid that warp and plot to another location in space. This will discover if there is another warp out of that sector (will have a course) or if that was the only warp out to the rest of space (won't have a course). Once it gets done with checking all the 1 warp sectors, it does the same for two warp and three warp. You could do the same for four and five, but in general, it won't turn up much in the way of new info, maybe 2-4 new warps. Then it will plot all supposed 1-way warps backwards, to verify that they are truly one-ways.
