It's been done, i've seen it but i can't seem to find it, I'm looking for a haggle method, i'm playing a very blue game right now with 60% planetary trade, so i'm taking then selling, i'm looking for a haggle method that will give me more profit per port i've been using SupG's quikpanel script at the moment but i was just wondering where i could find a better haggle method. Thanks in advance.

a blue game with 60% planet trade? ouch. slap the sysop.
the current best public ptrade haggle routine can be found at:
http://tavern.homeip.net/
download all his public scripts and download oz's ST bot and ptrading can be done very easily.
if you want anything else, hit me up on icq.

Sorry not on ICQ right now, I've started a crude script and want to use this
For Equipment:
port max init = (($perunitinitoffer-90.6281)/($tradingpercent-10.98921))*(89.01079)+90.6281
I can find the first variable by getting intitial offer and dividing it by a $holds variable. I need to know how to get the trading percent variable. I would use the ptrade script but i'de be missing out on 40% of the profit so at a port with 65000 buying equ i'de be missing out on anywhere from 3.6 mil to 2.7 mil per negotiation. so i'de be missing out on 7.2 mil to 5.4 mil per day, quite a bit in my book, and since it's a blue game ppt is basically the only other method, (no mobile planets yet.)
I'll post this on twx too, to find out the variable but slim i don't want to ptrade i'de be losing to many creds. and i've got the ck scripts ;)

Are your referring to Planet trade? Or Ship trade. If ship trade, talk to EP.

ok, i think i follow you here... however, EP's uber script is yet to be finished, let alone released, so until that time, you are stuck slapping your sysop.
also, just because its "60%" ptrade, doesnt mean you lose 40% profits. think about this. how many turns do you waste selling of 65k product 250 holds at a time? those turns ARE money.
there are many more things to a "blue game" than just ptrading (and w/o mobile planets, ptrading is a moot point since you can't)
i suggest this:
1)slap the sysop
2)start gridding/exploring/checking MCIC's
3)get your planets doing the best production they can, depending on edits...(figs/quip/ore)
4)start preparing ports for a mobile planet, upgrade only prime ports in safe locations
5)grid grid grid
6)kill kill kill
7)wait for mobile
8)slap sysop
9)win the game

1)slap the sysop errr....
2)start gridding/exploring/checking MCIC's - 47% explored
3)get your planets doing the best production they can, depending on edits...(figs/quip/ore) - 30k colos make 3:1 figs
4)start preparing ports for a mobile planet, upgrade only prime ports in safe locations - sectors built up 5 locations i believe
5)grid grid grid - 6% only but nobodies hitting them 1200 sectors out of 20000, i can't probe w/o seeing one of my figs so i figure i'm find for the moment
6)kill kill kill - Sd'de 3 of the 4 players actually playing
7)wait for mobile - waiting waiting waiting....
8)slap sysop - errrr... if only
9)win the game - in the works, your right i didn't take into consideration of the other ports, just was going for the uber ship i think i'll pn now, b/c i'll be able to get the ship now, rob colos and the works, oh and take the others bases of course, just didn't really have anything else to do with my turns so i just used a take sell land script, oh and the other thing, 30k per 2 turns comes out to 15k per turn, or i could make 16k-20k per every 6 turns, I think i'll have to go with the first since it's already set up instead of ppting for cash, colo, then grid... well thanks slim i'll remember slap sysop... slap sysop... slap sysop

I so love 60% planetary trade. But then, this is where I have the biggest advantage. Assuming there are no barriers to playing Red, you should be SST'ing, hands down. Until mobiles ofcourse.

My only advice is... sign up for my beta test. Link below. Still a month or so away though.

*note
UNTIL EP gets his uber haggle crap done, CK's haggle method is best publicly available.
:P
