 Re: TW documentation wiki
Yay, I was wondering when the spam would kick in.
Should we close registrations and ask people to request an account through here?

 Re: TW documentation wiki
None of the fake-looking accounts have posted anything yet. I'm just worried about their intentions.
I can't remember... is there a captcha? If not, can you add one?

 Re: TW documentation wiki
There isn't a captcha. And I've found that to be pretty useless on the museum. The only thing that's helped there has been disallowing all http links and not allowing account creation.

Chat_Roomshttp://docs.classictw.com/index.php?tit ... c_WebsitesThere is a bunch of junk insinuated onto/into the wiki... It isn't the bad itself..but all these links are dead pages that point to another link, which my anti-virus says is a malicious webpage. Can someone with exec or admin access take a broom to this? Or show me how and I'll be happy to do the sweeping...

 Re: TW documentation wiki
Yes, as soon as I have some time I'll clean this up and we'll take another shot at this with a bit more control over access.

 Re: TW documentation wiki
Ok, I think we're back in business here. I cleaned out all of the bogus accounts, then nuked all of the bogus pages. There may still be some odds and ends out there, so if you see a spam line on a page or in a discussion page, just delete it. I don't think there are many.
I also removed the ability to just login to create an account. We need to put a notice on the front page that anyone who wants access should visit the forum, create an account and request access. I suppose I need to grant enough rights for you guys to be able to create accounts.
Without an account, it's impossible to edit a page. So that should clean things up for us.

 Re: TW documentation wiki
Ok, everyone who's in the wiki right now has been granted administrator rights. I'll trust everyone to create accounts for those who request it, but let's go with regular user accounts in most cases. We may need to have other administrators as people come and go, but we don't need too many at one time.
