Dead-end Refers to a sector with only one Warp-in, and one Warp-out that leads back to the original Warp-in or Adjacent Return sector. Also referred to as: Deds. Death Delay This is a SysOp/GameOp configurable setting, if set to ‘On’ all Ship Destroyed players have to wait until Midnight before being permitted back into the game and if set to ‘Off’ all Ship Destroyed players are instantly permitted back into the game, (similar to having unlimited lives in a video game.) Death-limit Refers to the number of times a player can be Podded or SD'ed before being removed from the game. When the games Death-limit has been reached by a player, they are permitted to Pod an unlimited number of times, until they have actually become SD'ed, after-which they will be removed from the game. Decloak Refers to the process of Photoning a sector containing a potentially cloaked vessel, thereby forcing the cloak to fail and making the player susceptible to attacks. Density Scanner This low-grade scanner permits a vessel the ability to scan surrounding sectors for their relative densities, thus enabling the player to determine potential hazards, before actually entering the sector. The use of a Density Scanner uses no turns. Refer to the Density chart listed on the Quick Reference Sheet 1/5 in Section 4.???? All vessels may be equipped with a Density Scanner, although only Ships configured by the SysOp or GameOp may support the use of a Holo-Scanner. ******need correct ref info….. Dock Refers to either the StarDock, or as an action it means to Dock or Port a Ship at a StarPort. DRTR Acronym for: Dump-buy, Rob, Transport, and Rob. This is a Red credit-generating tactic, which requires at least one mobile Planet, a few million startup Credits, and two Ships (usually a COLT and a Havoc.)
