I think the menuing system is not part of the official snitz forum. It seems to have been added on afterwards. Please correct me if i am wrong. Therefore, I can change it out if needed. We are using an older version of the menu. I contacted Rick for more information about this. However, I am open to suggestions for better menus. Please post links here to good FREE opensource menus and we will evaluate them in this thread. They must be cross-browser compatible. earth. |

I used to run Snitz forums, but I moved to PHPBB2 which has more templates and works great with Firefox and Mozilla as well as IE. SNITZ is here: http://www.snitz.com/ Their forums are here: http://forum.snitz.com/ Here are some hall of fame winners: http://forum.snitz.com/archive/default. ... ll+Of+Fame My suggestion is to keep the current template and just use an HTML validator to see where the HTML issues are in the HTML tags and fix them. I would suggest copying all SNITZ files to a different directory to beta test them on your web server to see how they look in Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, etc. A very good HTML validator can be found here: http://users.skynet.be/mgueury/mozilla/ Of course it only runs in Firefox or Mozilla which can be downloaded from here: http://www.mozilla.com/ |

Firefox and Mozilla always worked with the menus for me, but always had two pages of blackness between the menu and forums. I think it is the Javascript plug-in, and some people had an older version of Javascript or Java with older Mozilla and Firefox versions that wouldn't work with the menu. Firefox worked with these forums when I tried it with 0.90, except the HTML is messed up and creates a lot of black spaces between the menu and forum that is almost two pages long. You can click on this link to see the full screen of what Firefox 1.5 shows for me: http://img356.imageshack.us/img356/9279 ... oll6jv.jpg |

ok. until we can fix the menu for real, i have made a small change. For Mozilla or Firefox users, you should see a normal menu now (no more extra blank pages) and you might see a small green box. I figured a small green box is better then extra pages to scroll. This should tie us over until i can work out something more permanent. There should be no change for IE users. If you use Mozilla or Firefox, please tell me if it is better or worse. If you dont tell me, i wont know. earth. |

Firefox 1.5 shows the green box. Earth, thanks for the fix and doing it in a timely manner. I suggest that if Firefox users still see problems that they upgrade to version 1.5 if possible. |

Ah, I'm still using 1.0.7. I'll upgrade and see if that resolves the issue. |

It is funny, since i replaced the mozilla javascript menu functionality with opera javascript menu functionality and it was compatible. It was that easy. The more permenant solution is the difficult one. Maybe i will make the menus permenantly green for firefox users [:D] earth. |
