Which files must I copy and what procedure do I follow to tranfer current games? I have a new system I want to put my server on and don't want my players to have to restart their games.

Thanks,

There are two ways to go to copy the current games. First, you can use the TWGS Command Center archive command to create .TWA files for each game. You should check the global files for at least one of the games because, by default, global files are not included in the TWA archive. Once you install the new server, you can load the TWA files back into your game slots and they'll be ready to go.

If you prefer doing this manually, you just need to copy all files in the [TWGS]\Game directory and its subdirectories. If you stored all of your game data under this directory (default), then that's all you need to do. Otherwise, you need to copy the games from the directories where you stored them, as specified in the Configure screen, Games tab.

You might also want to go into your Registry (if you're comfortable doing that) and save out your TWGS settings under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Epic Interactive Strategy\Trade Wars 2002 Game Server. This is where all of the TWGS settings are stored, including the game locations. If you don't do this, you'll have to reconfigure your TWGS manually on the new computer.

Hope this helps.
