Released, for good, with no timeout.

Leading up to this year's release, here's the sentiment that I've observed:
"Give us our script, we're tired of waiting every year, and we're tired of depending on you for our haggle script."

Okay, here is your forever-unlocked-version. The dilemma is that each December/January I work on tweaks and features because of the impending timeout. Now that this doesn't need to happen, I expect this will be the final release.

Encouragement would have been the better method.

Good luck folks,
+EP+

If you knew that the time period for tweaks and updates is consistently jan-feb, why not set the locker for march? Isn't there usually a tourney in Jan-Feb? Crappy time for your trusty haggle to stop working.

I hope you have a great year, and come back and play with us some. We are trying not to let things stagnate into oblivion, several people are working on projects that might potentially bring players back to this game.

I don't think u should take any of this as a slight. Your script was useful enough for people to spend weeks creating a method to unlock it for use.

I wish you luck and success at whatever you enjoy now! Thank you for your efforts here. I hope we can play a game together someday.

I think we're all grateful #1 that EP is doing well. (As we age, you never know.)

#2 that he's released his Haggler without the annual time bomb.

He's been an integral part of this community! Much luck and success to you EP!

Now that the official 2019 release is out, I have removed the binary edited version that I uploaded back in January.

Thanks all, your supportive comments are much appreciated. Some of it sounds like a wake, so let me be clear: I'm doing really really well, pursuing the things that truly matter. The bible teaches that people are eternal (unlike all this other stuff), so I pour my life and time into people, mentoring and edifying others. That is where my free time and energy normally goes. I encourage you to do the same. Be AFK here, and PRESENT and encouraging in the lives of those around you.

Of course, it's still sweet when I can script or delve some deep mystery of tradewars, and I enjoy the distraction as much as anyone. And you can be sure there's a few TW mysteries I'm still working to reveal. I just never make this the main thing. I know it can suck waiting on a mid-January (read: February) haggle update, but real life takes precedence. In the words of Kurt Cobain, "These people are just gonna have to wait." That's not me snubbing you all. That's me keeping the main thing the main thing.

AFK,
+EP+

-=- Tradewars is LIFE -=- Play or DIE !!!

just kidding... but some players feel that way :)

The only bad part was that there was no usable version available for the Ice tournament.

Exactly, we'd have won otherwise.... It's taken me a while to find the excuse but now we have it :)

Well those of us who've written decompilers had a usable version for the Ice tournament :)

Though even that was broken because the latest release (including the 2019 just posted) does not planet haggle properly when PTRADESETTING is below 100, as it was in the tourney.

I've fixed that in my copy, but will leave that up to EP to release if he wants to. Anyone who wants it from me can ask privately.

Which you shared with everyone. So we had it as well, but I was late and never got to use it.

Yikes, I'll do some testing and get it resolved.

Okay, I have found the bug that manifests when PTrade is less than 100%. I should have it fixed soon.
