You seam to have forgotten the fact that when a sysop buys twgs he does not own it.
And since no game is a single registered, copyrighted entity to itself, duplication is not restricted. So if anyone wants to they can have copys of games from other twgs, After all that is why the twa files are posted in the first place?
How dare you imply that to do so one has a lack of Integrity,
But then you have to have something before you can discern its not there anymore.

It's called common courtesy. I know many here will not understand this concept, but it's something I live by.
I think you have that backwards. Plenty of the people here have already shown you more courtesy than you've ever shown others. You're the one that seems to have no concept of common courtesy.
I mean what is this, the umpteenth time now that you've posted some baseless attack about someone or something without getting all the facts? If you had a shred of common courtesy you'd have looked into this instead of coming here, posting about it and trying to hurt a well-respected op's reputation. If you had any concept of common courtesy, you'd have apologized by now instead of making some flippant, sarcastic remarks about how you could (but "would never...") in theory pirate other people's work because of this.

hummm how about when you said this sgo
"I visited ALL the web sites of every known game designer including Black Sun. No one, and I repeat NO ONE was even remotely discussing a monopoly style game of tradewars. Now, I don't want to call anyone a liar, but "
well that would piss alot of people off i would think
and this was just about the dumbest thing you have said yet
" It's called common courtesy. I know many here will not understand this concept, but it's something I live by."
Dont say your not attacking people, the things you say and the way you say them show that you really have no respect for others, and especially for yourself.
So since this is the case how can you possibly expect others to have any for you?
Grow up dude and stop posting in ways that you know will get your case jumped on for starters and even then think about what your saying before you say it for a change. Things might start to look up.

So I have to ask....
Okay SGO, you think all these edits are boring. No prob, your business. Exactly what do you consider fun? What makes these edits boring? I'd be interested in seeing these things discussed. Mainly to see what others opinions are. Personally I think Alien edits are boring (and to clarify, I am not stating they are boring as some would just state that is the way it is, I am stating it is my opinion). There are mostly two possibilities when playing againsty an AI. It is easy and lame, or it is so fast you get your Butt kicked. But what makes these other edits boring? I find most of them highly challenging, having to learn to fight against others using different stategies based on the ships.

A) very well done, u obviously spent alot of time on that.
B) all the aliens look like individuals and have great ansi's and descriptions which might make it feel different, but they are still controled by their stupid AI.
C) heh, when vader and others talk about edits, they mean str8 up ship edits, not ansi edits hehe as in how ships will interact together in space battles, what jobs they will/can be used for, etc..

1.) SGO, you responded to my post above, but never addressed the questions I asked.
2.) Okay, you have nice ansi graphics for aliens, with all kinds of fluff info which is cool. But I am trying to make the point, it isn't the "fluff", the ansi, the theme, etc of the aliens. I prefer playing against people. If I want to play against an AI, there are plenty of games that are way better the TW. For me, the fun is playing against people, not a computer.
The work you did above shows you have nice ANSI, etc. But that doesn't tell me anything about the edits. The numerical values of the ship are what determine if a edit set is good/bad, not the ANSI setup.
So just to make sure we are on the same page of discussions, the aliens are "boring" to me because they are a AI vs. a human. I can still kill people regardless of aliens, lock down a game, etc. To clarify something. I don't think playing a game and locking it down in 30 mins is fun. But than I don't see many low turn games that you can do that in. It is primarily unlim, high turns. Also, you can ask around, I am nowhere near the killer many good players are. Heck, most of my perma are all better killers. I don't play the game to kill, I play for the challenge of playing against others.

You've never got a complaint or a criticism out of me Jhereg! Not once. I've always respected your playing.
I understand your feelings about the AI's and there's nothing I can do about how they operate in the game (beyond what I can do in the editor). All I can do is try my best to make them more interesting.
As for the ship values and planet values, like I said, those are harder to post in a display, like I did with the ansi's. It requires making captures of the text, then converting the captures into color using Prinmaster (like I did with the "what they look like in the game," displays.
Bottom line, I find that in most of the popular edits, the ships all do pretty much the same things. Check out THIS ship edit I made, many find it to be interesting. It's the standard, "ship pods into itself," idea but it's how I carried it out some might find interesting:
The ship is the "Urban Assault Vehicle:"
Now the FUN part is, when you pod in this ship, you end up in a Urban Assault Replicate, which in turn pods into itself! Insane? Maybe, but it's fun.
has anyone even played with this particular ship edit? It took about 30 seconds to figure out what was wrong with this game and why its unplayable and all I looked at was 1 ship... SGO I think you should learn how to play the game and what the settings actually do before you try and argue about other peoples settings, and certainly before you go and accuse a GameOp of stealing your edits who has forgotten more about putting out balanced, playable and ejoyable edits then you know.
I am sure you have no idea what setting ruins the game, but it will be a good lesson for you to have to figure it out for yourself, as a matter of fact if you read as much as you type and researched as much as you accuse you would be bar none the most knowledgable player in the game.

The ship is rare, time released into the game, and can only be obtained by capturing it from an alien.
As far as it's edits, they do EXACTLY what I want them to do, just because you couldn't "play" with this ship doesn't mean anything, a REAL player can.

You know... I'm reading this and getting an image of a bunch of guys standing on a cliff edge and the conversation soing something like: 'I don't know about this, it seems a long was down', 'Oh yea? Well a REAL man could make the jump!'
Regardless this would turn into another personal perspective arguement anyway. Same as happened on the post where I stated that I disliked scripting in any form. *shrugs* Nothing productive comes from it.

Lol, well Drahkar, in general they can generate into discussions or into arguments. Hence the reason I had asked a direct question in that post you were referring too.

i see a bunch of people JUMPING OVER THE CLIFF and 1 guy sitting back saying that jumping in anyform is wrong, even if everyone else is on the other side of the cliff.
i am more than willing to help anyone with anything, but you can only help someone if they wished to be helped.
