Hello all, am an old player returning to the game, and am slowly refamiliarizing myself with things. Before I jump back into the swing of things, I'd like to play through a few solo games. A couple of questions first, though:

1. What are recommended settings for a solo game?

2. I'd like to add some aliens to the game, other than the Gold Alien Traders and Ferrengi. What are some decent, well-balanced TWAs that I might like?

Also, as long as I'm playing solo, I'd like to have the game advance a bit faster than it normally would. Can a game be modified so that the "days" counter advances faster than once a day - say, every hour, or even half-hour?

if you are playing solo on your own TWGS home brew local server you can make xtern happen anytime you want with a click of a button...

I recommend playing as sysop for a few hours to get a feel for things.... then try a dupe allowed game online to practice your scripts

then try a builder game

Then maybe a player vs aliens game... My fav style.
