I must admit it's got me a few times at Dock usually wen ive been using a planet for fuel.
Then ive relogged and some1's blown the planet. I thought that had been fixed not happened for ages. Or maybe i've learned my lesson

Laff. Reland should be smart enough to know you're looking at fedspace and not land. Also should trigger off the "doesn't have a cit" msg and lift, since there's absolutely no advantage to hiding on a planet w/o a cit. You can't even act as a doorstop.

But I am happy with the ping.....seems rather odd to have that much lag when the ping looks that good. Is this just me?

Burst lag is caused by sudden packet loss, usually due to a route problem. Do a tracert to the server and see where it dies.

Ran tracert and it is going all the hops to your server......seems to have cleared whatever was causing it.... oh well looks good now..

Still, those kind of things do happen in the game. When you land on a planet w/o a cit nobody can know where you are, so if you have scripts that autoland you without concern for where... well, that kindof thing can happen.

If I rattled off a list of script or macro f-ups I (and others I corp with) have done over the years you'd wonder how we ever managed to win a game, lol. Fusing, losing ships to Zyrain, attacking Zyrain, fusing some more, detting planets full of corpies, botting corpies into enemy figs from base (that has a double suck quality to it, and seems to be my specialty), cby'ing from strange prompts (logs prompt, corp prompt, cit prompt, pretty much everywhere) on accident, oye... looking back I can't help but hear the Benny Hill theme song sometimes.

There was a time in a game a few years ago... ships were podless, corpie had full turn bank (like 4k turns) and we needed the cash. They went red, then realized "oh crap, I need experience!" so off to dock... only we thought it'd be better to twarp directly to dock, since the adj fig could be rigged. Incase you haven't figured it out... it's not a good idea to macro twarp to dock as a red in a podless ship with 4000 turns.

If you want to play in the game but don't want to corp w/ them, then just show up at bang and don't corp up. I'll assign you to another that's missing players. It's not a big deal. Still, you're pretty much free to rib him about blowing you up for, oh, the next 5 years... so why would you miss that chance?
