Yes, most of this could be done with server side scripting, but wouldn't it be nice to be able to set an option like this?
T) Truce Game
=== submenu questions
Do you want to make this a truce game? (Y) = Yes (N) = No
How many days should the truce last?
Maybe on the (G) screen around the tournament mode option.
True, but as Vid said, we can already setup this type of game. In my case all it requires is $ssProtruce* and the game is setup. The end truce is ran the same way with a date and time setting for truce end. I don't like the days settng because most people with real lives don't want to be up at midnight on a work/school week for a game, so I use a time of day instead. I realize we have 2nd & 3rd shift workers who won't be online, but it is impossible to get a time when everyone will be at keys.
The way I setup a game is to run proTruce.ts and then tEditGameOpen.ts and it would be a simple matter to combine the scripts so I fire up one and walk away. A simple mod to proTruce.ts would close the game to new players at truce end.
