Unread post making TWS launch at windows start up..
hey all...

can any of youse guru's advise me on making TWGS launch when Windows is rebooted or powered up?

pls advise..

Certainly..

1. Open your TWGS. If it is running, stop the server.
2. Click Configure button, then select Server Tab.
3. At the bottom there is "Autorun". Check that.

I also recommend something like FireDaemon to manage restarting it if it crashes or goes away for any reason. It is also good for keeping your apache/tomcat/any web server running if you have that as well.

You can also install it as a service by running the following from a command prompt, assuming your paths match:
sc create "TWGS" binpath= "C:\Program Files\Epic Interactive Strategies\TWGS\TWGS.EXE" start= auto type= own type= interact

Yep this works too, the thing that sold me on FireDaemon though was how easy it was to setup timings for everything to restart as well. You can make your executables restart in a specified order, with buffer time in between, etc.
