Hi can someone tell me what the difference is between a 'mode' and a 'command' in mombot?

I believe modes are scripts that will keep stay on and respond to triggers until you explicitly turn them off. Commands are normally scripts that run and end themselves after they finish.

The bot doesn't really care if you put the wrong type of script in the command or mode folder though. It was really just made that way so that you could order your scripts.

Of course it's been a while, it may have changed. Someone can correct me if I am mistaken.

Yeah what MD said.

The idea behind 'modes' was to help prevent a Corpie (even yourself), from lauching into MERCH while PDROP was running. The Bot would be able to recognize the conflict and issue the appropriate Error Msg. When you press the '>' key, the current mode should be indicated in the prompt (ie: General, FOTON, etc). Issuing the STATUS command would indicate the current Mode as well –iirc.

Double tapping the TAB key will reset the Mode to General, and the bot would Halt whatever relevant script was running. This is why I got into the habit of issuing the StopAll command before any other --you never know when someone returned to keys.
