Are there scripts that will update the twx db when figs are killed? Which ones? I would have thought swath would do it as long as you had parsing on, but it doesn't seem to. |

Your best bet is to write a script that uses sectorparameters to update when fighters are killed. This works well unless a corpie is gridding because you don't update a newly gridded sector unless you rebuild your list. Read the help file on parameters and you will find that it is easy to write. |

Mombot does this, fyi. Several scripts out there do. Swath only updates on scan, not on hits. |

Vid's Quick figs write paramiters and out put files in 3 main formats used by other scripts. Vid's Fighits removes them when extern runs as well as player/alien hits. There are some grid scripts that will place the paramiter back so its seen as figs/mines are placed. Otherwise you will have to do refresh once in awhile. But your question was to remove .. so that would be fighit.cts your welcome to re-invent the wheel if you want tho. |

Thanks, that's what I figured, but my problem is the text to trigger on ... that particular line starts with a variable, and the string doesn't look very unique. I guess I might have to trigger on the previous line... Singularity wrote: Mombot does this What? Really? I use mombot... do i have to change a setting or something? I'll have to test it... if it's been doing it for me all along I'll be really surprised. Also, can i get swath to update sector parms from twx automatically? It would be nice if the map was always as up-to-date as possible... Vid Kid wrote: But your question was to remove .. so that would be fighit.cts Cool, thanks Vid that's pretty much what I was looking for, I'll try it out. Only problem is the .cts, since I want to M()M-ify it ... but if mombot does this already then it's all moot. |

Quote: What? Really? I use mombot... do i have to change a setting or something? I'll have to test it... if it's been doing it for me all along I'll be really surprised. It does half of it. There's a routine "removeFigFromData" that gets called anytime a bwarp, pwarp, or twarp fails. It doesn't update on fighit, but that'd be a tiny thing to add. Just make a daemon that does it or something. Quote: Also, can i get swath to update sector parms from twx automatically? It would be nice if the map was always as up-to-date as possible... Nah. Wouldn't that be nice. |
