The script Im working on is giving me issues when trying to XPORT to a 3 digit ship number but works fine with a 2 digit. I know its something REALLY simple, but after lookin at it for so long everything is lost. Quote: :ship killalltriggers getword currentline $line 1 isnumber $test $line if ($test) setvar $ship $line end send "w* " waitfor "Choose which ship" send $ship send "*" halt The triggers I have set up are correct, when I check the current variables in TWX the ship number there is correct. When trying to send $ship, for example instead of 755 it will send 75.. Thanks |

Why not save yourself the headache and use a macro? Code: send " w * " & $ship & "* " |

Heh, neither of those are going to help you export to a 3-digit ship number Just messing with you, since you said xport, but meant tow. Regarding the script, echo the variable before you send it if you are having a problem. I would add this: echo "*Sending " $ship " for the ship number." I would put that line just before $ship is actually sent, and make sure nothing strange is happening. |

LOL yes, I realized I said xport...and meant tow. It was really early and I was working on my first cup of coffee:) EP will definitly point out the obvious huh?? Ok cool EP Ill throw that in there, I did say though that I through a pause in a checked my variables and triggers in TWX step by step and $ship was correct just the output was one short. Thanks! **Edit EP I just looked back at my original post, everything looks right...no mention of xport there. Weird...EP...you might want to get that noggin checked bud! Possibly some glasses....is it time for bi-focals yet??...HEHE *duck* *run* |

Ah ha ha, the power of the provoked moderator. Clearly, it says xport. I wanted you to put the echo in there so that you could see if your triggers were firing more often than you think. That might not be obvious, depending on when you pause and check the variables. |
