I'm trying to make a local mirror of some sites that I use, for which I have a username and password. It used be that these could be added to the URL as follows: username:password@address.com I have read that IE stopped supporting this usage with IE6; I managed to cobble together an XP m/c to try it out on IE6, but microsludge has IE8 as part of the O/S so I couldn't install IE6. Also read that some versions of Chrome, Opera and Firefox will support the usage, but have not been able to find which ones. Can anyone help? Kav |

Just tested on my XP system w/ FireFox 52.9.0 (32-bit) If this is what your after then it worked. Attachment:
