HHT - How many on a corp? (trying to get a line up prepped for the game)

The Edit is probably 85% done. It will still need to be tested and some changes will come out of that. As far as the corp size, turns, etc.. that will have to be decided by the host. wether its me, micro or some one esle is still to be determend.

Maybe not as nasty as last time? :)

Those edits were awesome with 10+ corps but when it ends up 2 corp tournaments it really makes the game drag on. I'm still catching up on sleep from last HHT and haven't been able to play a game since.

Not that I'm committing to playing or anything.. but never say never.

The problem is there are really not enough players left for 10 corp games unless we set it two like 2 player corps. and with the current "bot wars" mindset of trade wars I don't many people would play. but micro and I have already kicked that idea around.

This might not be the platform to do it... I think it's time to consider limited number of dupes.

Lets be fair there is no shortage of players who do join games to just be a bot.. well lets skip the pretense and just allow a dupe or two.

Not unlimited but I think it's worth considering to give the illusion of more people in the game. There is also a bit difference between two players with 1500 turns and one with 3000. So many tasks are better achieved with multiple people.

Just a thought and sorry for the derail. To keep it on topic I vote 3.5 players per corp, 2 full time players and 3 AFK people-bots totaling 3.5 :)

I would be 100% against allowing dupes in a tournament. not a big fan of dupes at all. but you have a point about players.

haha I might have been the ONLY user for a fair chunk of the last HHT. Spent a lot of time chasing that run away planet script.. a lot of time.. still have nightmares.. it was satisfying tho when I got them (you?) down to one fig and it had no were to go.

Was really just a game of who was willing to waste the most time.. I won the addiction contest and the timezone contest :)

Agree. Do we even have any corps that are committed to playing it yet? It sounds like Helix is going to, but anyone else?

The edit sucked the last couple of times, for all the reasons Hammer mentions, and I know that I for one will be deciding whether to participate primarily based on the edit - if it's worth it or not.

Consider we couldn't even get two teams to compete in ICE, which is actually a good edit, let's try not to make this one so un-fun that it becomes Helix in a solo tournament.

It seems to me that its the sysop changes that screw the edit up. Doesnt any one have the TWA from 2005 or 6?
