Sing, any idea on what the start date might be for the Tourney?

I'm trying to keep the number of games I simultaniously play in limited to 2 or 3, and it'd be helpful so I can kinda plan out what/where to play. I definetely want to partake in this tourney.

10th or 11th of jan would be good.


I have a hockey game to go to on the 13th, but I will only be out of town for a day or so.

The edit has been chosen, revision 1.0 is up on the server now but the game is closed. I will open revision 1.0 on Monday when I rebang the neostock, subby and slow hand edits. Rev 1.0 is just that, the first version. Depending on feedback I may make a few changes to improve the edit's balance and then rebang it a week later.

It's a modded version of Poker Run, changed for turns. We had a similar turny a few years ago, it went well, but there were a few changes I wanted to make this time around. This is an MBBS game, w/ ptrade set to 100% but port regen set down to 70%. 1200 turns and some expensive ships. Based on how many ppl have shown interest it'll be a 20k sectors game so it'll last longer than a week.

There's no time limit, stardock will probably sell ore, there's a death limit of 100 (and death delay of course) which isn't enough to be an issue but is enough to make deaths count for something. Game will open as a normal game, it'll be up to the CEOs and players to get everything sorted out, but by the end of the 2nd day I'll check to make sure everyone's on the right corp and everything's good to go. If you're not on a corp by day 3 you'll be removed, so there's a limit there. The game will be closed around that time too to keep out stragglers. There will be a turn bank so even if you can't play then, get in and get on your corp so you can at least bank turns.

So now I need a list of corps that plan to play. All I really need is a "name" for the corp and the CEO's info, I don't need to know the name of everyone on it... just how many players you have and whether you'll want drafts to fill in the empty spots. If you don't want to be included in the draft selection that's up to you, but the max byoc corp size is 4... so you might end up down a man if everyone else gets 5. The "name" can be changed later if you want, I just need to know what to call you for now.

The rules will be no duping, no bug use, no buyouts, no megacorping. With most of those it's easy to prove, with megacorping... less so. That means, in all reality, you could probably get away with subtle stuff... but if someone complains and it's obvious then you should expect the "shared resources" to go poof (along, possibly, with a few other things for good measure). As for duping, that'll be checked via IP (and yes I will be checking it on and off, and when anyone asks me to, so...). If you happen to share IPs with someone else that'll be playing then let me know in advance. If you break the rules I'll probably get a bit creative... I've been wanting to try out a few ideas, hehe.

No, not really. just burned up my turns in the practice game.. wasted approx 200 turns due to Fatfingeritis and a touch of Rust. This was compounded by a complete ignorance of the Edit... gonna be hard to get a look at all the planets with so few turns.

Ice9 will be sending a contingent of some sort... only thing is we were planning for 5, so I guess we have to cut someone or relegate them to the draft...
