I run ZOC/TWX...most do, and thats why i ask.
Using 1_move.ts script as example: my screen moves quite well, but if i put a Instant Messenger window up in front, it moves a lot faster. and when i click back on ZOC. (it FLYS for a few seconds and catches up and then runs like it did before i put the window up) so i ask, is there a setting for making zoc keep up better? or does minumizing or putting something in front really help it go quicker?
Or, should i disconnect when doing scripts of that nature? I know it goes the same for most other scripts as well, and its kind of important to know.
Thanks,
Nick

I don't think its actually running any faster in connection but how your GUI is displaying it. Do you have your OS optimized according to usuage behavior? Hardware acceleration, graphics acceleration, mouse/cursor/pointer handling, etc. There are alot of aspects to consider. I wouldn't trouble yourself too overwhelming for it. Its like I've heard some people state repeated pause & resume'ing a download increases the speed by burst - not true. heh

Okay,
I thought about the hardware (running very well here). And then i got to thinking about it more and I changed my 1_move script to where it does not display the planets when i go to land, and that keeps it the same speed for the most part. (still runs better with a window in front of it, but thats only the view im seeing, not sure on what and where its runnning)
Thanks for the reply...

With zoc, adjusting your scroll jumps to something other than none greatly increases the display speed. That's found at options|session settings|windows/colors I have mine set to frog, but kangaroo might be necessary depending on your hardware. Also, your OS could have a lot to do with it. ZOC's display rate is inherently slow in win9x. I don't know of anything to do that will make it keep up. If you're running 2k or xp, it shouldn't be a problem there.
