A blue corpie of mine was below 1k exp. and parked over our planets off-line. He was attacked and podded, the corbomite on his ship podded his attacker. My corpie gained experience from that attack. Now he's well over 3k exp. Is this correct? If you are off-line and do not initate the battle, but the corbomite on your ship pods your attacker - you gain experience as if you had started the fight? |

No. Not as I understand it. Destroying an opponent with cobo is like blowing up a port with a trader on the port or blowing a planet with a trader on it. H |

yes , first you loose your experience from getting killed or pod'd then you gain attackers or opponents exp when your corbo pods or kills them , this happens even when blowing planet with someone on it or a port. Some players may not see the change cause their opponent is a zero exp fed safe who blew planet . port or got podded or corbed. But you can check these facts out in Cabols docs somewhere. |

Yeah, in this case it was an off-line fed-safe blue being attacked by a red with higher exp. I know the gain when blowing up a planet with somone on it - in that case you are the one initiating the attack. But I suppose, by virtue of even having corbomite on your ship, you are a loaded booby-trap and the intent is to kill any attacker that comes along, regardless whether you are online or not for that attack. |

By the way I have asked in the past if in the future if the corbomite level could be increase atleast to levels that could take out a maxed gold ship fully maxed with maxed odds. But I guess there was not enough requests for such a thing. anyways , enjoy |

Would be nice if the max corbo level could be increased from 6000 so that the sysop could make corbo count in non-stock games. |

Sorry, I don't recall the request. When I set these maxes back in like 1997, I set them to 4x the stock maximum. The goal at the time was to avoid having edits that are so extreme that they break the game. (chuckles). What kind of numbers are we looking for here? The parameter is a word, so there's plenty of room. This is true of all of the ship max values. If they need to grow, they can. Or if it's just Corbo that's the problem, we can limit it to that. At this point I don't have an issue with giving a bit more room for expansion. |

Don't most players today just cap ships rather than blow them up? With the right script of course, so increasing corbomite levels just increases the profits selling the loaded ship. |
