Post subject:  remap'd keyboard

has anyone seen or used a remapped keyboard...
such as:

take ansi characters off the extended ansi character map and use them to construct a player name to confound ptorp/attack scripts that rely on recognized names generated from normal keyboard setup

??

You can't use extended characters in TW. It won't accept
them in a name. You also can't use "R" or "F" or game ranks
as a name, either.

Most ptorpers do not rely on the name. They check the fighit,
then they go. That sometimes means that corpies get torped.

one of the reasons i chose cc bee for a nic, was to send players to the ship catalogue... lol

i think one of my torpers checks names... not sure anymore. it's in the same line of text as the sector number, so why not?

It's done pretty easily. Takes a fraction of an MS longer, adds a
little complexity, but overall not difficult to do. Most people don't
tho, mombot's foton doesn't.
