I am playing a TURN LIMITED game at Alienbase where there are 5000 turns a day. I am in the game and there are 4 others in the game. The 4 others are in the same Corporation. I am playing Evil so i was making a good amount of creds and maxxed a ship. I found their base without them know it and smashed their sector figs and killed 2 of the three players that were in the sector(would have got em all but it was early in the game and i didnt have the resources at that time)and then i was playing "Turn Denial" where you just ptorp the sector every hour to keep there turns at "0", cuz if you cant move you cant play. To my surprise i Ptorped the sector with the remaining 2 corpmembers visible and IN the sector, then went about my business... not even two minutes later one of the corpmembers that was IN the sector at the time i ptorped, WARPED out of his sector and killed the figs that were in the sector i ptorped from..... is there something fishy going on, or is there something i dont know about?.... its too soon to have a shielded planet so he could not have landed on a planet then moved..... any reasoning for this?.... |

did you holo scan before or after the ptorp? if before, maybe he warped out inbetween the scan and torp.. if after, maybe he warped in between the torp and the scan |

Impossible..... i had been ptorping that sector ALL NIGHT! had ptorped it about 8 or 9 times before this "Mysterious Move".... so i KNOW he had NO turns.... and yes, i did holo just to make sure he was still there and actually the FOURTH corpmate had showed up so it was even better for me, since i had already killed 2 of em. |

WEll let me offer the change of the hour at the time of the move with a macro burst right at the top of the hour when i would get more turns. |

Sure. Xport or twarp out right near the hour as a burst macro loop... the first one that takes would happen before you even saw the turn regen msg. Then just move back in at will or hide on a planet till you're ready to use your turns. |

On a text trigger, on anticipating the turns or what? |

it was done by an autoreply, that responded to the incoming text "You recover"..... foolproof. was a good idea. |

Not entirely foolproof, remember the "you recover" msg doesn't get to you for 1 lag cycle... maybe more. You can't respond until another lag cycle. So... if I use ct and get the time, and start bursting a move macro a second early the cached macro will be accepted before you get the "you recover" msg. At that point... the command is accepted and I warp off, regardless of whether I eat a torp on the way out (which may or may not happen depending on your ping). Of course all that assumes the guy didn't just land on a shielded planet. Laff. That'd be the easiest way to avoid this mess. |

I understand all that you said Sing, good knowledge to soak up... there were no sheilded planets in the game though, it was too early. I'll see if it ever happens in another game if the same thing ever happens. I know there wasnt anything "Fishy" going on because it was Alienbase, but thanks for all your replies. |

K. Could've been just about anything from a lag burst to someone towing them out. Even w/o shielded, if there are mobiles they can land... move one out of sector and be clear. |
