I'm just wondering the best way to start a game, it would be nice to have a sign up with corp members and stuff but that aside my real question is this. In say your first 5000 turns in a game what do you tend to do. My stategy is a lone wolf one because i have trouble finding corp members. I tend to ZTM go to star dock get the best holds per turn ship for my current amount of money normally a frigate, slap a density scanner on it then go look for some paired ports. I tend to trade all the goods and once i have a bit of cash i go buy ether probes and start sending them off into all the dead ends before figs can be dropped to destroy them. List the destroyed fig sectors and then go get more cash and repeat stashing some cash away till i have a good portion of the universe explored, any way i can improve on this and what should i do next?

Depends entirely on the game edits what you should do. In general, you want to get a more long term cash supply going before spending money on probes.

If blue edits you want to get yourself into an ISS as fast as you can and grid grid grid.
If red edits you want to bust up exp points and start rtr and sdt as fast as you can and grid grid grid.
Of course you would probably want to get a few planets started to.
This is just a basic plan and completely depends on edits.

Harley is correct, it is all edit dependent. Depends on universe / turns / edits, etc.

As an example:
Unlims you want to either cash (red) or colo (blue).
If it is turns, that is different. Personally, in a stock setup, as a solo, I would probably PPT 1/2 turns, than ztm. ZTMing in the beginning eats alot of time.

I usually get into unlim, but of course I always start after about 4-7days after it starts and by that time on some edits, the game is owned..<slim!!> :P

mob I would offer to help, but I don't really like unlims, and don't play alot. But I am usually always willing to help people if they ask. If ya need help, feel free to contact me. At the very least I can help yah via IM's with ideas of what to do. I would recommend contacting some of my perma corpies who tend to be more active, and prefer unlims (Uncle Sam probably plays the most of us).
