I'm just wondering, when your in a game that has 4 digits as the highest sector number(under 10k sectors), and you put in a 4 digit number it automatically asks if you want to twarp. But if your in a game with 5 digits (over 10k obviously), you have to hit enter whether you put in a 5 digit numebr or a 2 digit number.
Just wondering whether its got to do with the sectors, or the game mode.
Thanks.

It has to do with the sector numbers. Anything over 5k sectors you have to hit an enter after every sector number. If it's 5k or less, you don't have to hit enter for anything more than max sector / 10 rounded to the next hundred. For example, with a 5k sector game, you have to hit enter for 1-599, but not for 600-5000.

Sorry for being a newb, but...
where can you tell whether or not a game is running Gold/MBBS?

In the game press V at the command prompt. You'll see:
Ver# 3.11.55 Gold
Ver# 3.11.55 MBBS Gold
Ver# 3.11.55
Having gold enabled means that there are more game options open to a sysop.

Yeh, that's what I figured....I'll have to check out the game I'm playing. Seems old school, so it's prolly not gold.

Keep in mind, just because a game is gold doesn't mean it's been modified, just that there is the option to. I've played several games with the gold options enabled that didn't have any gold edits actually done.
