I have been playing in a game for about a week. I've been getting busted anywhere from 2 to 4 times over 600 turns. Yesterday the bust were worse. I busted 6 times, but I understand that sometime busts are worse than at other times. Today I busted 9 times in 400 turns. I've lost half of my experience and had to use all my cash to bust planets to get my exp back up. The game settings are 100% rob and 100% steal factor, so I divide my exp by 30. Am I doing something wrong or is this a common occurence when playing red? I hate to see how many times I'll bust tommorrow if it keeps going at this rate. :0)

Sometimes you have good luck, sometimes bad. Just make sure you don't try to steal from ports where you are busted. If you look at the game settings before you enter the game, you can see the days between bust clears and the number of days the game has been running. Every nth day, all busts clear when extern runs.

I'me playing on this small bbs and it's set up like this too 100/100 rob/steal .. 7 day bust clearing .. 750 colo regen a day .. so it's def a hard choice .. blue or red .. cause they both suck ... but that sounds a little high .. probably just unlucky .. be sure that your not robbing at the same port twice (the msg will tell U if you've done so) .. one good note .. in the couple of games i've played red in .. when I have a high bust rate within so many turns .. I usually follow that up by running the rest of my turns without a bust .. so it's just down to luck ..

The BIG thing to remember about robbing or stealing, you will always have a chance of busting. Sad, but tru. Some days you just do not bust as often as others.

As far as he rob and steal factors, the percentages can be set by the gameop and so you need to check 'em every time you start a new game. There is a chart to use for finding the facrors for TWGS or MBBS linked to my page (it is an LED scroling link) and the author is Cruncher. I am sure you can get to it on her site, I just do not know the URL...

Busting seems to go by averages. When sdting (don't know what you're doing, just using an example) you tend to average 1 bust for every 100 turns. However, this may work out to 2 days where you bust 3 times, and then 1 day where you bust 12 times. It sucks, but it happens.

I've SSM'd In a colt and made 15 mil in one go without busting. Then the next day, it seemed like every other time I ran the script I busted. Oh well, Thats what some days are like when you play red. When it feels like I bust a lot more. I quit out and return to the game the next day. I know the busting doesn't depend on the day that you're playing the game, but it makes me feel better to just say, "Screw It!" and try again some other time.

Yesterday I only busted twice. That's alot better than I expected. Guess it was just bad luck like ya say.

Know what you mean, 1500 turn game SSTing did not bust once. Next day I busted like 8 times...
