My husband and I really love playing TW, we used to play way back when, and were elated when we found that it is still going strong. We work the same hours so we are at home together and we each have our own computers, which are networked. We have a cable modem and share the same IP. Now the problem.... we have tried to get into lots of games, emailed a lot of sysops, but no one will let us play at the same time in a game. Now, how is this 'duping'??? Two players, but one person, trading and building at the same time from one IP is super talented if you ask me. I have seen games where a person makes dozens of accounts because he gets killed, that is what I would think was 'duping' but having 2 computers in my home so that two of us can play together is not, or at least I can't understand how it is.
Isn't there some way a sysop can verify that we are not kids (over 40 yrs old, both of us) trying to pull off some sneaky trick? I am sure we are not the only ones out there that are having this problem, with the cable and DSL connections and home networking, this is a newer day and someone should step up to the plate and fix this problem. It takes players to make a game, and across the board blockage for some of us honest players is a loss.
