 Limpet Mine Bug?

If you drop Limpets in a sector say 250 or so.. and an enemy comes in and logs out then in again 250 times all the limpets will be gone. They use 0 turns to waste 250 limpets just like that. I'm thinkin this is a bug. Anything that can be done to fix that?
