When in the computer mode - by press 'D' you get daily log. The problem resides when I don't want to read the daily log. The only way I know how to exit the daily log is by pressing enter and repeatedly tapping the space bar, or entering a few alpha characters and having the daily log - unable to locate date.

I think you should be able to press Q and quit the daily log if you hit it by accident.
