Hello,

For the past three days I've been writing a telnet client for the past 3 days, and its almost complete.

I want to eventually perform automated functions. In Trade Wars 2002, I want it to do port trading automatically. On another service called battle.net, It could also be used to moderate channels, for example. They both can be connected to through telnet programs, so the program essentially should work the same.

The program works almost like the telnet client in Win95/98/ME. It works with battle.net normally. However, in trying to connect to a TWGS its different with the Win95 telnet than with my program.

In the Win95 telnet what I get when I first connect:
Telnet connection detected.

Please enter your name (ENTER for none):

In my program, I get garbage characters, if anything at all. But it does connect to the server.

Perhaps my program is not working like telnet. Maybe thats why its not being detected as a telnet client. Is there something the TWGS server expects?
