Game Bug?

 I had a player today that was attacked tonight around 10pm pst at SD. He was destroyed and so was the player that attacked him(due to corbs). The attacker zoomed out in his pod and got a new ship yada yada. The player who died got kicked out of the game and could not get back in. The player was in a pod and had been placed in a far away sector like usual. He had not died at all during the day. Why could he not get back in? I went in the game and moved his pod from one sector to another, then the game let him in. WHY? Im running version .39. Thanks
